The goal of the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism is to preserve and enhance Louisiana's rich, unique and authentic culture, heritage and natural landscape while promoting these assets to locals and visitors alike.
WCEF
Louisiana's incomparable blend of cultures makes it one of the most fascinating places in the US. In order to leverage the state's unique heritage and to ensure that it remains the driving force and embodiment of a global cultural economy, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism invite you to the World Cultural Economic Forum (WCEF). This annual series of festivals, signature events and workshops across the state will allow participants to promote cultural and artistic talents, expand markets, explore avenues that build cultural economic development and simply experience Louisiana's culture first-hand.
